Why use direct deposit to receive your tax refund?

When preparing your federal and state tax returns, be sure to request your tax refund through the fastest option possible: direct deposit.

Why use direct deposit to receive your refund?

There is usually no additional charge for receiving your refund via direct deposit, rather than on a paper check.  Paper checks can get lost, stolen or destroyed. Also, a direct deposit eliminates the need to take your check somewhere that you can cash it or deposit it.  If you choose direct deposit for your tax refund, it goes straight into your bank account. Plus, you’ll get the refund much faster because it’s electronic, and doesn’t have to get printed on paper and then travel through the mail. Millions of people choose to get their refund via direct deposit, because it is safe and secure.

How can you receive your refund via direct deposit?

When you file your taxes, you’ll have to indicate your refund method. If you use tax software, you can select the direct deposit option and provide your bank account number and routing number. Similarly, if you file by paper, mark direct deposit on your return and provide your bank account and routing numbers.

Where can you find your account and routing numbers?

The Fidelity Bank routing number is 265070532. On one of your checks, the routing number is the nine-digit number in the bottom left corner, while your account number is the number directly to the right of the account number.  You can also log in to your account or contact us.
