Reviving a Vision: The Relaunch of the Louisiana Technology Industry Association

By: Gavin Langston, Fidelity Bank IT Director
Over a decade ago, the Louisiana Technology Council played a vital role in advancing our state’s technology ecosystem. When it quietly faded away, it left a major gap in statewide representation for the tech industry — until now.
Today, with strong renewed interest from across Louisiana, Fidelity Bank and I are humbled to help lead the relaunch of this important statewide effort as the newly formed Louisiana Technology Industry Association (LTIA).
As Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Fidelity Bank, community involvement is core to who we are. I grew up in New Orleans, left for a while, and returned nearly two decades ago with a commitment to help fuel innovation here at home. Over the years, I’ve worked across multiple Louisiana-based companies, always with the goal of driving tech-forward progress in our communities.
This relaunch has been a true statewide collaboration — with leaders like Michael Moles of Champion Technology Services, along with GNO Inc., Nexus Louisiana, and others — ensuring LTIA represents the full Louisiana technology landscape across public, private, and higher education sectors.
I’m honored to have been elected as the first Chairman of the Board of LTIA. Our mission isn’t just to fill a void — it’s to establish a hub of innovation that helps Louisiana technology companies grow, attract and retain top tech talent, and draw new investment into our state.
Why this matters now more than ever:
- Louisiana is home to 6,300+ tech companies, driving roughly $6 billion annually into our economy.
- The Louisiana tech job market is projected to grow 18% over the next decade.
- Major players like Meta’s planned $10 billion AI data center in Richland Parish and the growing game development industry in Baton Rouge and New Orleans are putting Louisiana on the national tech map.
Our first member meetings will launch in late 2025, including committees dedicated to areas like operations technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software development.
If you’re passionate about shaping the future of the Louisiana technology industry, we welcome you to connect and get involved.

We cannot wait to see the positive impact LTIA will make — and the future we will build together.
